Unique Student
We are very happy to announce the implementation of one of the most important features in QuranRecord — the Unique Student system. As we continue to grow, we are constantly adding new updates to support students, parents, and schools in their Quran journey.
Through your prayers, support, and cooperation, QuranRecord now processes over a million records every week and has expanded globally. Our goal is to provide every Quran school with a unified, efficient, and ideal platform to maintain the highest educational standards for every child learning the Quran.
With the new Unique Student concept, a student can now be enrolled in one or multiple classes, even across multiple schools — all under a single student identity. Parents and school management can easily track and manage their students’ progress from one account, ensuring seamless collaboration and transparency.
Currently, QuranRecord supports Quran and Qaidah studies. However, we’re expanding further — soon, you’ll be able to include Alimiyyah, general school curriculum subjects like Math, Science, and Islamic Studies, and even track Islamic lectures (Bayan), sports activities, and mosque attendance (Musalli) through our upcoming module called Subjects. We aim to complete this major expansion by the end of this year, Insha’Allah.
Every activity your student participates in will appear under the Memberships page. The new Subjects system is designed with great attention — even if a student misses a small topic (like Algebra in Math), it will be automatically notified to parents. The platform will fully support global school curriculums to ensure compatibility and ease of use.
Please keep us in your prayers and share QuranRecord with your local mosques and schools. If you have a few minutes, we would truly appreciate your kind feedback and ratings on our newly launched iOS and Google Play app pages — your support helps us reach more schools around the world.
JazakAllahu Khair for your continuous support.

Memberships
We have replaced the old name Groups & Classes with a new and improved section called Memberships. This page brings everything together in one simple view. It shows all your connections with schools, mosques, and classes across QuranRecord. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or controller, you can now easily see every class or group you’re a part of. If you’re a parent, all of your child’s memberships are listed here in one place, so you can quickly access their Quran learning activities without switching between pages. Just look for the small icon before each class name to know your role in that class — whether you are a parent, teacher, or student.
If you manage multiple schools or mosques, a Network option will appear at the top of the page, allowing you to control and view all your jurisdictions from one dashboard. If you belong to only one school or mosque, you’ll instead see a direct link to your school dashboard. Teachers will see all the classes assigned to them, while parents will see the memberships of their children marked clearly with a student icon. All former students, known as XStudents, are shown at the bottom of the page for easy reference.
You will also find a link to create your own private group. Each private group can include up to 7 members, making it perfect for families who want to track and record their Quran recitation together at home. We’re continuing to improve this page further to make it more interactive and easier to manage your memberships and family learning activities.
Student Profile
We have completely revamped the Student Profile page to assist controllers, teachers, and parents. Additionally, it now shows performance insights for students on their Quran journey.
QuranRecord is designed to give equal focus to students through parents, teachers, and schools. The platform considers that parents spend valuable time educating their children before sending them to school, which all schools want to acknowledge.
If you are a parent, it is your responsibility to add your child’s recitation records to QuranRecord whenever you listen to them recite. The system estimates parent engagement and compares it with school records to create an ideal system to support Quran students effectively.
With the improved student profile page, you can see if parents have not viewed or added any recent records. The same information is also passed to school management. Ideally, parents’ records should exceed the school’s records.
As a parent, whenever your child joins any school using QuranRecord, provide them with your child’s QRID from the top ribbon and ask them to add your child as an existing student. This ensures that all your child’s records are in one place. You can also view them in the class history, which lists all the classes your child has attended.
We are also adding subjects, so not only Quran, but all subjects, sports, and every activity of your child will be tracked with the same QRID.
You can also access your child’s profile through the Membership page, previously called Groups and Classes.
The new page provides much more detailed information about your child’s performance and progress.
We have many more improvements planned for this page, Insha’Allah.
XStudent (Previous Students)
Managing students is now easier and more organized than ever before with the introduction of a new concept called XStudent.
When you go to the View Students page on your school dashboard, you’ll notice a new button called XStudent.
In this section, you’ll find all your old students who have left the school. You can still view their profiles and review their performance and recitation records.
Whenever a student leaves the school, they will automatically move to the XStudent section. You can choose to keep them active for parents but removed from the school. This allows parents to continue viewing their child’s Quran records and recitation mistakes throughout their life, Insha’Allah.
QuranRecord does not set any student limit, so there’s no need to worry if old students remain listed in the XStudent section.
We’re also working on additional improvements to the student management page, and as always, your suggestions are given the highest priority.
Add Student
Improved Feature:
The Add Student section is now more advanced and easier to use than before. With the new Unique Student concept, the same student can now be part of multiple classes within a school, multiple schools, or even a private class — all under one unique QRID.
When you click Add Student on the class dashboard, you will see two options:
- Add Existing Student using a Student QRID
- Add New Student as a completely new profile
An existing student can belong to any school using QuranRecord. Simply ask the parents or the controller of that school to open the student’s profile and copy the QRID from the top ribbon. You only need to paste that QRID into the Existing Student field, and the student will be added to your class.
Important: The Student QRID is a secure and unique identifier — it must be copied exactly as it appears and should never be handwritten. Only parents and controllers can view it. Multiple failed attempts to enter an incorrect QRID may lead to automatic account deactivation, which cannot be reversed.
Adding a new student works the same way as before; we’ve just organized it into clearer sections to make the process easier to understand.
Manage Student
Revamped Feature:
We have revamped the Edit Student section and renamed it to Manage Student. The page is now split into sections for easier navigation. In the last section, Student Management, you will find multiple options to control the student profile:
- Move the student from one class to another.
- Remove the student from the current class but keep them active in another class.
- Remove the student from the school but keep the profile active for parents to view the records in the future.
- Deactivate the student completely.
Important: Make sure to read the notes at the bottom of the page to understand exactly what each option means.
Inshallah, we are always here to assist you if you have any questions.
Non-Reciting Day
New Feature:
Previously, when there was no Quran recitation activity in class, teachers either marked students as "Did Not Recite" or left the record empty, which could affect students’ names appearing in the missing records list.
Now, teachers can select "Non-Reciting Day" for days without Quran recitation. This ensures that such days do not impact students’ performance or reports. This feature is perfect for days focused on other class activities, discussions, or special events.
How to mark a day as Non-Reciting:
- Go to the Add Record page.
- Click Recited From and select Non-Reciting Day.
- Select the Reciting Method.
- Click Save to mark the day.
Teacher Records Count Update
New Feature:
When there are multiple teachers in a class, it used to be difficult for controllers to know how many records each teacher posted, making it hard to distribute workload effectively.
Now, controllers can see the total number of records posted by each teacher. This information is available in:
- Missing Record Summary on the mosque dashboard
- Class Dashboard for individual classes
Note: Make sure the attendance is complete to view the records posted by each teacher.
Recent Records Update
New Feature:
When a teacher adds a new record for any student, the Recent Records section at the top now shows two icons to quickly indicate whether the parents have seen the latest records. This helps teachers inform students in real time while adding records.
- Tick Mark: The parents have seen the record.
- Waiting Symbol: The record is still waiting for the parents to view it.
To make these icons appear:
- The controller must give parents access to view the student profile.
- Parents must register on QuranRecord using the same email connected to the student profile.
If no icons appear, it means either the parents are not registered, or the record was posted by the parents themselves.
Add New Class & New Group Update
Revamped "Add New Class" Page:
Controllers can now easily create a new class for their mosque or school from the school dashboard by selecting "Classes" and then clicking "Add Class". The page has been improved with two new fields to make class management more efficient:
- Batch: Assign a batch to your class, e.g., "Grade 9, Batch 2025-2026". This is helpful when you have classes with the same name every year. You can also name the batch as you prefer.
- Section: Split classes with the same name into sections (A, B, C, or any custom name) to manage them properly.
Additionally, the "Edit Class" button has been renamed to "Manage Class" for clarity.
New Private Group Feature:
You can now create a private group for your family or as a private teacher by going to the Memberships page and selecting "Create Private Group". Note:
- Each user can create only one private group with a maximum of 7 members.
- To create multiple groups and access full features, you must register as a school.
Class Statistics Update
New Feature:
Teachers can now view detailed Class Statistics directly from their class page. The statistics include:
- Total records
- Records posted by parents
- Records posted by schools
- Total verses recited
- Total pages recited
- Total Qur’an completed
- Attendance details:
- Present students
- Absent students
- Excused students
- Total class days
- Students who did not recite
- Non-reciting days
Additionally, parents can also view the class performance. This will motivate them to add records when their child recites at home, boosting overall engagement and progress.
Bugs and Issue Fixes
Bug Fixes:
We’ve fixed an issue where the “Mark as Weekend” option wasn’t working properly when creating holidays. Now, when you mark holidays as weekends, they’ll correctly appear as weekend days across the platform — for teachers, parents, and controllers. This ensures that all users see consistent weekend information in calendars and schedules.

Coming Soon on QuranRecord
Unique Student: A new feature called Unique Student is coming soon to QuranRecord. With this update, one student can be part of many classes in the same school or even in different schools. Parents will be able to see all their child’s progress from every school and class in one place. This update also prepares for our next big feature: Subjects — It’s Everything. Soon, you will not only track Quran and Qaidah, but also Alimiyat, Math, Science, and all other subjects. You can manage any curriculum from anywhere in the world, record lectures and Bayans, and much more. Even activities at your mosque, such as following up with musallis (those who pray), can be managed easily. All learning, teaching, and progress — in one single platform.
Revamp of Student Profile: We are completely redesigning the Student Profile page to make it easier for parents to understand their child’s progress in detail. Parents will soon be able to see how their child is performing and how teachers are supporting their learning. All class history and records will be shown together on one page — simple, clear, and easy to follow.
Non-Reciting Day: Soon, teachers will be able to mark a Non-Reciting Day in their class. Instead of marking students as “Did Not Recite” or leaving the record empty, teachers can simply choose this option. This way, the day will not affect the student’s performance or reports. Perfect for days when the class focuses on other activities or discussions.
Teacher Sharing Records Details: When a class has multiple teachers, controllers will soon be able to see how many records each teacher has added — right from the mosque dashboard. No need to open every student’s page to check. This update makes it easy to track each teacher’s activity and contributions in one place.
XStudents & XClasses: We’re working to make student management at your school even better. Soon, all XStudents (students who have left the school) and XClasses (classes that have been removed) will be moved to a new section called XStudents & XClasses on the Students page of your school dashboard. This will help schools keep active records clean while still being able to view past students and classes whenever needed.
And More to Come: There’s much more on the way — stay tuned!
