Statistics and Analysis
All your old records in QuranRecord have been updated with complete statistics for each entry, including the number of lines, pages, words, and more.
Additionally, if you notice changes in your chart since your last visit, don’t be surprised. The chart now displays data by Number of Lines Recited instead of Number of Verses. This adjustment provides a more accurate representation of each student’s performance, as lines are consistently the same length, unlike verses.
This feature ensures that tracking and analysis of student progress is precise and reliable.
New Module: Parents & School
We are excited to introduce a new module in QuranRecord focused on enhancing parental involvement. To achieve the best results for students, the active participation of parents, teachers, and controllers is essential.
To support this goal, we have added — and will continue to add — features that help track and enhance parental engagement in their child’s Quran learning journey.
Here are some updates introduced in this module:
- Parental Review of Records
- Parental Access Status
- Attendance Tracking and Remarks
- Notifications and Updates for Parents
This module is designed to strengthen the connection between the school and parents, ensuring students receive consistent support both at home and in class.
Parental Access Status
Controllers and teachers can now check if parents are fully registered on QuranRecord. When the controller accesses the school dashboard or the teacher accesses the class dashboard, you will see the status for each student as follows:
- Parent Access: No – Indicates that no access has been given to the parent for their child’s profile.
- Parents Not Registered – Indicates that access was given, but the parent has not registered on QuranRecord yet. This is the time to follow up with them.
- Parent Access: Yes – Indicates that the parent is actively accessing the student’s profile.
This feature helps track parental involvement and ensures that parents are actively participating in their child’s Quran learning journey.
Parental Review of Records
When you add a new record for a student in QuranRecord, it is automatically sent to the parent for review. Initially, you will see the status as "Waiting for parents to view the record". Once the parent views the record, the status will update to reflect the time they accessed it.
This feature helps you track parental engagement in their child’s studies and ensures that parents are actively following their child’s Quran learning progress.
There’s a lot more to come in this module! If you’d like training for parents or teachers, or have any questions, our team is always here to help. We are working hard to give you the best of QuranRecord.
New Record by Page & Line Numbers
You can now add a New Record in QuranRecord using Page Number and Line Number by selecting START PAGE and END PAGE. Please make sure to select your Quran Mushaf to use these features.
When you add a new record, QuranRecord will provide detailed statistics, including:
- Total Words
- Total Pages
- Total Lines
- Total Verses
- Total Juz
- Total Chapters
- Total Ruku (Only IndoPak)
- Total RubAlHisb (Only Othmani)
- Total Manzil
- Total Sajdah
- Ruba, Nisf, Thuluth, Ruba Al Akhir Locations
- And much more...
This feature ensures that your Quran recording is comprehensive, accurate, and detailed for every student.
16 Lines Quran Now Available
We have added the 16 Lines Quran in QuranRecord. You will receive the same statistics for it as with other Quran Mushafs, including lines recited, performance tracking, and progress analysis.
New Option in Add Record
We have added a new option in Add Record. If a student attends the class but "Did Not Recite" anything, QuranRecord now creates a record for it.
If the teacher marks the student as "Did Not Recite", the student’s performance will automatically drop to 0 for that day for the selected reciting method.
Attendance Access for Parents
Parents now have full access to view their child's attendance directly in QuranRecord.
Both teachers and parents can now filter attendance by months for easier tracking and review.
Attendance Remarks & New Options
You can now add a Remark for every student regarding their attendance, such as “Came Late to Class” or “Not Regular.”
Alternatively, you can mark the student as Absent instead of »Did Not Recite«. This will not drop the student’s performance for that day.
New Attendance Rule for Adding Records
From now on, you cannot add a new record for a student if you have already marked them as Absent. For example: if a student was marked as Absent for yesterday’s class, QuranRecord will show an error if you try to add a new record for that day.
However, the reverse is allowed: you can still mark a student as Absent for a day even if they already have a record for that day.
Update Student Profiles for Line/Page Counting
As mentioned in our last update, we are enhancing QuranRecord to count the number of lines and pages recited by students. To enable this feature, the teacher or school must select the Quran Mushaf for each student.
Please edit each student’s profile and select one of the following options: IndoPak 15 Lines or Uthmani 15 Lines. We cannot count lines or pages for old records if the Mushaf has not been selected.
If all students are following the same Mushaf and you want to set it as the default for your school, please notify us by sending a message from the Controller’s registered mobile number.
Kindly update the student profiles or send this information to us by Friday. Any records missed after this deadline cannot be updated, so timely action is essential.
Simple Urdu for QuranRecord
We have made QuranRecord available in very simple Urdu. We avoided complex words and tried to keep the language as easy and understandable as possible, so that more users can benefit from it.
Regarding the reciting method, we have renamed:
- Lesson → Sabaq
- Repetition → Sabqi
- Revision → Manzil
If you have already set a reciting method for your school, the same method will continue to apply.
We are always happy to receive feedback from you. If you find any words difficult to understand or notice any mistakes, please contact us.
Thank you for being with us and supporting QuranRecord!
Additional Improvements in QuranRecord
We have implemented several updates to make your experience with QuranRecord easier and more convenient:
- During signup, you can now request multiple activation links if you didn’t receive one initially, ensuring a smoother registration process.
- When editing a student profile, you can now add the father’s name (optional). This is especially helpful if you have multiple students with the same name or want to include it for accurate record-keeping.
These small but important updates are designed to simplify your workflow and enhance overall usability.
Custom Reciting Methods in QuranRecord
We are excited to announce a new feature that allows you to create your own reciting methods in QuranRecord. Instead of using the default terms like Lesson, Repetition, and Revision, you can now rename them according to your school’s needs. All previous records will automatically reflect your new names.
You can use any language, such as Arabic, Urdu, or English. For example, you can rename them as Sabaq, Sabqi, Manzil, Parasabaq, Amaghta, or any terms that best suit your teaching style.
Furthermore, if you manage multiple schools using QuranRecord, making these changes in one school will automatically apply to all other schools, saving you time and effort.
Please note that you need to be actively using QuranRecord for at least a month to access these features. Watch the instructional videos in Urdu or English to learn how to use them effectively.
My School, My Setup
We are excited to introduce "My School, My Setup" in QuranRecord, allowing you to customize the platform to meet your school’s specific requirements. This feature is designed to make QuranRecord more aligned with your institution’s expectations, workflows, and preferences.
We are working diligently to bring more enhancements under the "My School, My Setup" category, so you can expect more updates and tools to make management and tracking even easier.
